3 Day Okavango Delta & Mokoro Safari
Tour and Travel Africa takes you there
The non-participatory mokoro safari takes you to the tip of the Delta where you will witness a combination of aquatic wildlife, amazing bird species, breath taking landscapes, tranquil sunrise and sunsets, all in all summed up in one word: "unforgettable! We will visit the Eastern delta in a community controlled wilderness area. We work with some of the most experienced Poolers who have mastered the channels as well as being astute in co-existing with acquatic wildlife!..
Day 1: Welcome to Okavango Delta
Our safari will depart from Audi Camp at 07:00hrs for a one hour boat ride to the mokoro station from where we will board our mokoro for a leisurely trip to our campsite where we will have lunch and enjoy a hard earned riverside siesta moment. It is truly a wilderness and a great soothing experience. You will get to learn a lot about this amazing ecosystem called the Okavango Delta. We will then embark on a 2 -3 hour late afternoon nature walk. Upon return to the camp, you will be treated to a hot camp shower before proceeding to dinner around a campfire. For us, campfire forms a critical part of the experience as this where we tell our heritage stories. You will then retreat to your 3.2 x 3.2m tent equipped with a stretcher bed and a mattress, a veranda and an attached bathroom with flush-able toilet, shower and sink. Our team will take care of all the camp chores including cooking. All you have to do is to enjoy your hard earned holiday.
